Vic Mignogna at Eirtakon in 2008; Amecon 2008 filling up Fri, 7 Dec 2007

Still celebrating the success of their recent event (attended by upwards of 400 people over three days), Irish anime convention Eirtakon have got in touch with us to say that they've already lined up a guest for their 2008 gathering; English dub actor Vic Mignogna, otherwise known as the voice of Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist. Eirtakon will again be held at The Hub in Dublin City University during the last weekend of November 2008.

On the subject of local anime conventions, registrations for Leicester's Amecon 2008 have been flying in at a tremendous rate; to the point where (as of December 4th) 1189 people had already booked their places, meaning there was little more than 150 places left to be filled. If you're interested in attending Amecon 2008, it's literally now or never.
