Kurenai - Initial Thoughts (posted on Apr 21, 2008)
The Spring Season is already upon us, and despite the vast amount of series there is available, i've only started on two. Of course my enjoyment of Code Geass in its first season led me to carry on with its second series this season, but the other series i had no idea about, and i'm glad i... [Read more]
Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu - Novels/Series (posted on Mar 4, 2008)
Before the great Suzumiya Haruhi becames a hugely recognised figure of anime worldwide, she started out in light novels. No doubt everyone has at least heard of her, and as of such, holds their own ideas for her on what they've seen, but even still not many have read the novels, or perhaps... [Read more]
New Season, any good? (posted on Oct 14, 2007)
New Season means new series off which to consume the majority of my free time with, but is there really anything worth watching? Well, i can't say for all, but for the few i've watched, i'd say yeah. Clannad After working my way through Kanon(2006) which i absolutely adored in the end,... [Read more]
Welcome (posted on Jul 26, 2007)
| I never thought that i would actually be writing my first ever blog post so soon, but here i am so welcome. Since watching the first episode of Cowboy Bebop for the first time years ago, to this day, i've always wanted to state my point of view on what a series of anime has been like through... | How did you discover anime? |
I could go and say Dragonball Z, but at the time i had no idea that it was actually anime, so i would say it has to have been Cowboy Bebop, one of the best series i've seen with a stunning soundtrack too boot.
How much anime do you actually watch? Ever made the time to read manga too?
i watch quite a lot of anime i must admit, but i like my manga too. Currently i'm watching through about 4 series which are currently airing at the moment, along with collecting a couple of series as well, but i'm busy working my way through the likes of the Berserk manga and keeping up-to-date with Bleach, so i read a fair bit of manga too, and light novels in fact.
Other than the obvious anime addiction, what else do you enjoy?
Next to anime and manga, i'm really into learning japanese, admittedly i'm not that good yet but i'm getting there. I enjoy my films too, from cheesey old fashioned horrors(zombie films yay!), to Asian Cinema, i'll sit through anything really, even if its just for a laugh. I've been a gamer for the majority of my life too, as well as play golf for most of my life too, though i haven't had much chance now i am in university.
Tell us all about yourself?
About me, well there isn't much to know really. I'm currently in University Studying Maths with Physics(i know i know, why maths of all things, i don't know either by the way), and enjoying life as a student as much as i can. Other than that, i'm a little sarcastic on occasion and not very funny...oh and more or less boring(well that was obvious with the maths bit and all), and that about sums me up, oh yeah i'm trying to teach myself japanese too, which is going slowly.
What is it that you love about anime?
To be honest, i'm not entirely sure. I think in a sense its the imagination they put into it. Anime is not limited to anything so artists/authors can let their imaginations run wild and what they come up with can be truly amazing. The varied art styles as well, i've always been a fan of art and animation, so i think the varying styles really attract me too anime more as well.
