| How did you discover anime? |
| I suppose it was back as a kid seeing something like Akira or Vampire Hunter D on late night TV. Then getting hold of things like Robotech, Macross and Vampire princess Miyu on video (I am quite old you know). Left off for a bit, then at Uni started again to watch a few bits I borrowed mainly Ranma and Urusei Yatsura. Then in the last few years got back into it in a bad way. |
| How much anime do you actually watch? Ever made the time to read manga too? |

I depends on what new stuff I have or what I feel like. If I have a new DVD, or borrowed something new I will normally watch it as soon as I can if I don’t have to do anything else. Have been known to 2 or 3 26 episode series straight on a weekend. I do read manga and some manhwa have not got that much at the mo but it seems to be increasing at a good rate. |
| Other than the obvious anime addiction, what else do you enjoy? |

Archery. Music mainly old school goth, alternative and industrial. I have my home cinema kit which is great for watching all my films and anime. Comics, comics more comics and Buffy. |
| Tell us all about yourself? |
| Well I am Carl and I am old. I live in Pontypridd, I stayed in the area after being a student here. After watching welcome to NHK I have realised I am becoming more of a hikkikomori with each one of my friends that gets married (funny how you see people less when they get a family). I spend way too much of my disposable income on anime and comics of all kinds. |
| What is it that you love about anime? |
| They are not your average western cartoon with a cat and a mouse. Anime usually tell a story you can be interested in. They are big budget movies without the big budget. |
