Questionnaire
How did you discover anime?
I went over to a friend's house when I was about 13 years old and he showed me Cowboy Bebop. It was not until I was 19 that I actually got into anime.
How much anime do you actually watch? Ever made the time to read manga too?
On average I'll watch 4 hours of anime per week. I don't have much manga but I hope to make more time for it.
Other than the obvious anime addiction, what else do you enjoy?
Gaming is probably the only thing that can rival my anime addiction. I also like listening to music.

As a child I was always really into video games and cartoons. At the age of 5 I was already playing my NES and watching Thundercats, Transformers and Samurai Pizza Cats. Those shows were the foundations for my anime viewing. In my early teens I was exposed to Cowboy Bebop and that might have been what piqued my interest in these "Japanese cartoons". I was fascinated by how mature and dark it was compared to regular cartoons. At 15 I got into Dragonball Z. This was another series that I knew felt different to everything else and brought me even closer to realising my love for anime. At 19 I was recommended some anime to watch. Being introduced by her brothers to Cowboy Bebop gave me more reason to give anime a try. I believe I started with Trigun and Jungle wa Itsumo Hare Nochi Guu FINAL. After those things kind of just snowballed and here I am! |
What is it that you love about anime?
Most things, I guess. Animation style, number of genres, cultural differences, creativity are the things that spring to mind.

Good job with the Persona review. My 360 broke, again, recently so I'm going to give some more PS2 games a chance. Based on your blog thingy and some other times I've heard it mentioned I think I'll definitely give it a go. :D |
