Until I kill you, I’ll even eat mud to survive! Hokuto no Ken (posted on Feb 12, 2009)
When I finished watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes late last year, I felt like I’d had my fill of sprawling eighties anime series for a fair old time to come, but fate, it seems, has long been conspiring against me. My destiny had seven scars on his chest. A mere swipe of his hand could... [Read more]
When eternal love goes wrong [Kurozuka] (posted on Feb 2, 2009)
I had high hopes for Kurozuka, because it is a genre of anime I tend to enjoy, that being stylish, far-fetched, visually-intoxicating science fiction. It is a beautifully drawn journey, in-which 1,000 years of vampiric romance sweeps across the Heian period of Japan to the bombing of Japanese... [Read more]
In support of sports drama and Hajime no Ippo (posted on Jan 23, 2009)
You may scoff at the formulaic concept of sports drama, may think that you can ignore anime like this because you're not into boxing, but I'll retort by suggesting that that is a lazy way of thinking. Like every great sports anime, Hajime no Ippo is fuelled by great characters. It is overflowing... [Read more]
[One Piece] Through hard times, and fun times… Yohohoho… (posted on Jan 14, 2009)
Some anime are dark and depressing, others are romantic and heart-wrenching. One Piece is a story of friendship, chasing dreams, and smiling; honestly, it is a joy to behold, to listen as Brook plays his favourite song; the music has a feeling of nostalgia. The Straw-Hats’ celebrations are... [Read more]
Can you see those stars, Felix? Or are you just drunk with blood-colored dreams? (posted on Jan 2, 2009)
During the very last scene of Legend of the Galactic Heroes, baby Felix gazes up at the night sky and grasps at the stars. “That might be an action that’s been repeated endlessly in any era, in any world,” the narrator poetically explains, adding that “Humans always pursue... [Read more]

How much anime do you actually watch? Ever made the time to read manga too?
On average I suppose I've been watching an episode of anime a day for the last three or four years. It's becoming clear to me this isn't fad that's going to go away; I'm properly addicted to the Japanese cartoons! There is too much (that I want) to watch.

It's not that I don't read manga, but I'm not nearly as into it as I am with anime. I rarely find myself as deeply immersed in the pages of manga as I do with the audio visual delight that is anime. That's just the kind of person I am, I guess.
Other than the obvious anime addiction, what else do you enjoy?
Aside from normal social stuff like checking out the latest movies down at the cinema, I spend the rest of my spare time obsessed with (playing and watching) football (go Cambridge United!), developing websites and writing on my blog; I'm fascinated by interacting with readers of my websites, and maintaining a blog is a great way to connect with like-minded people over the 'net.

Thanks, i thought Seirei no Moribito was worth a mention, specially for the music, it just seems to work extremely well with the series. I just really need to see the final episode now.

now comes the confusion, do I reply in my shoutbox, your shoutbox, the email I got with this same message? lol. I chose the email but will again say Gash Bell is quite a good show full of comedy, action, great/loveable characters and yes the end is supposedly abrupt cause Toei made it that way (I've yet to find out what they did). here's a clip of 1 of my fave Gash Bell moments http://www.youtube.com/wa...
