Manga and anime art exhibitions in London over coming months

A manga & anime art exhibition intended to “support and promote talented manga and anime artists” will be happening at the The Vestry House (Surrey, TW9 1SA) on 15th/16th of August. A full schedule of events planned for the weekend, including a cosplay photoshoot and a gothic lolita tea party, can be found at the website of Akemi Solloway.

For those who can’t attend the August dates, further exhibitions will be held at the Westminster Reference Library in London from the 1st of October until the 31st, and at St John’s Wood Library in London from the 1st of November until the 30th.

Artists are invited to apply to get their work displayed at the exhibitions (which can be sold at the events). More sporadically related events will also be happening over the coming months, including a lecture on “How Manga and Anime’s costume is connected with Japanese traditional Culture” and a “manga drawing workshop by manga artist” at the Westminster Reference Library on the 28th of August from 6pm.

A detailed breakdown of the above can be read at Akemi Solloway’s website.
