Anime pop star Yoko Ishida headlines Anime Vegas concert

Las Vegas, NV – August 2, 2007 – The organizers of Anime Vegas Convention 2007 is proud to announce recording artist Yoko Ishida as the Japanese musical guest of honor for this year’s fourth annual celebration.

Since her debut in 1993, Yoko Ishida has been singing on various anime show opening themes and released a number of popular singles [Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon R Ending Theme song “Otomme no Policy”, TV Anime "Bluer Than Indigo2 (Ai Yori Aoshi ~Enishi~) Theme song “Eien No Hana," TV Anime "Bluer Than Indigo2" (Ai Yori Aoshi ~Enishi~) Theme song "Takaramono", Shakugan no Shana Ending Theme song “Kurenai no Seijyaku”, This Ugly Yet Beautiful World Ending Theme song, “Natsuiro no Kakera”] over the last fourteen years. Ms. Ishida recently sang the opening/ending theme song for Ah! My Goddess, continuing to gain praise and mesmerize her fans with her beautiful voice and energetic music.

From Anime Soundtracks to Para Para mix albums; Yoko helped launch America’s J-Pop Revolution. Yoko was one of the first J-Pop artists to break into the American J-Pop scene with not just one, but also two albums, and a national Para Para concert tour that spawned a popular concert DVD. Between conventions and concert tours here in America as well as Spain, Yoko continues to make waves in her homeland. In 2005 & 2006 she was a Guest at the Animero Summer Concert and the Anime Fusion Tour in Japan.

With Anime Vegas as a stop, Yoko is currently touring World Wide to promote the Japanese release of her new “Single Collection” album due out September 21. If you have seen Yoko in concert you know her shows are energetic and fun, and if you haven’t, here is your chance to see this superstar do her thing!

Anime Vegas is also stacking up the musical entertainment roster with a J-Rock program, which includes rock bands: Eyeshine, Metal Phyzix, Thee Out Mods and Tokyo Smog, with a performance with anime music producer DJ Jinnai and Anime Hip Hop recording artist MAJA at the Anime Vegas Dance.
