Animatsu Details Revealed

The first details concerning new anime distributor Animatsu have been announced, in a press statement released today.

Eight anime titles have been confirmed, three of which have been named: fantasy series Blade & Soul and Chaika – The Coffin Princess, plus slice-of-life comedy The Comic Artist and Assistants. Two more titles will be revealed in the forthcoming issues of anime magazines MyM and Neo.

Animatsu will also be releasing live-action movies. The first will be Halo: Nightfall, and will be brought out by both Animatsu and Anchor Bay Entertainment on 16th March on Blu-Ray, DVD and as a digital download.

The company is headed by Jerome Mazandarani, with Andrew Hewson as marketing manager, who had both previously worked at Manga Entertainment for 10 years.
