London Anime & Gaming Con Returning This July

Following their recent event back in February, the 18+ London Anime & Gaming Convention has announced that they will be returning to host another event over the weekend of 5-6th July.

The July event will continue to push the scope of the event further and further, with support from many companies within the video game industry including Namco Bandai, Capcom and Ubisoft, as well as retailers such as GAME. Over £1,000 worth of prizes will be up for grabs at the Game Tournament Zone, which will feature competitive tournaments for many popular games, such as League of Legends, Mario Kart, Minecraft and Super Street Fighter IV.

Cosplay will receive a bigger boost as well, with the addition of the “Cosfest”, which promises to give the event a unique festival atmosphere with a number of cosplay-related events occuring throughout the event. Other attractions include a Maid Café and late-night parties that go on until 1am!

Attendees will be able to enjoy an Asian Movie Night courtesy of Third Window Films, as well as various anime screenings. The big headline guest of the event though, is Maggie Blue O’Hara, whose most notable roles are that of Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat) in X-Men Evolution, as well as Madison Taylor (Tomoyo Daidouji) in Cardcaptor Sakura.
