Lupin III: Daisuke Jigen’s Gravestone movie announced

In 2012, Monkey Punch’s iconic Lupin III franchise received the first brand new TV anime in over twenty five years (excluding the near annual TV specials) courtesy of TMS Entertainment. The wondrously stylistic Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine was directed by Sayo Yamamoto and focused on the femme fetale Fujiko Mine and how she first encountered the now famous cast of the series.

Today, a continuation to the series was revealed. Lupin III: Daisuke Jigen’s Gravestone will be released this summer and will be directed by Redline‘s Takeshi Koike. This sequel will focus on how the legendary duo of master thief Lupin III and the perfect shot Daisuke Jigen.

Manga Entertainment UK released Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine on DVD and Blu-Ray in the United Kingdom.
