MCM Comic Con October 2013 license announcements

Today, on the second day of the October 2013 MCM Comic Con at the ExCel Arena in London, Manga Entertainment UK delivered one of their patented* panels, announcing a string of new licenses that would open 2014 for the anime distributor. Fans can now expect the following releases in the coming months:

Attack On Titan, which was previously announced at Comic Con back in May, is on track for a DVD and blu-ray release next year.

Dragonball GT will be released as two DVD collections in January and March.

Evangelion 3.33: You Can (Not) Redo will be released on both DVD and Blu-ray at the end of March.

Naruto Shippuden the Movie: The Lost Tower will be releases on DVD and and as a DVD/BD combi-pack in February.

Psycho-Pass will be released on both DVD and Blu-ray in two half-season sets next Spring.

Steins;Gate The Movie: Loading Area of Déjà vu, which saw its premiere recently at the Scotland Loves Anime festival, is being “worked on”.

MangaUK also announced that the live-action movie Hentai Kamen (also known as HK: Forbidden Superhero) will be screened in Cardiff and Leeds next month.

Meanwhile, while not present at the panel, MVM Entertainment had some license announcements of their own throughout the day on their Twitter.

Infinite Stratos (DVD)

Other than Infinite Stratos, no release formats for the other licenses were confirmed for MVM’s licenses.

Andrew Partridge also announced that the science fiction anime movie Hal has been licenses for release in the UK.
