NEO Magazine Celebrate 100th Issue with Free Party on 7 July

Get Saturday 7 July in to your diaries, because NEO Magazine is throwing a party – and you’re all invited!

To celebrate reaching a remarkable 100 issues – setting NEO as the longest running British magazine of its type, ever! – publisher Uncooked Media will organise a free event at London’s Bloomsbury Lanes, consisting of music, cosplay, live bands, Jap anese food and more.

Manga Entertainment will also be involved in the night, celebrating the release of Dragon Ball Z on DVD by screening the whole first series! The best super saiyan-inspired cosplayer of the night will also receive a DBZ boxset.

The festivities begin from 8pm, where the magazine’s music editor Tom Smith will fill the floor with cutesy J-pop, bouncy J-rock and sexy K-pop tunes through to the 3am closing time.

Live music includes a set featuring traditional sounds of Japan from Hibiki Ichikawa, the highest qualified shamisen player in the UK, and Hokkaido rockers S.S.ROCKETS, who will be playing their biggest UK show to date.

Delicious Japanese snacks will also be served throughout the night thanks to street vendor Peko Peko Kitchen, while the venue has a large selection of beers and spirits, as well as pool, table top football, arcade machines, karaoke and bowling.

Come along and celebrate not only a milestone for NEO Magazine, but also a part of UK anime and manga history!

The event is strictly 18+, ID required.
