NEO Magazine will be pitting cosplayer against cosplayer in a vibrant battle to be crowned the NEO Cosplay Idol. Prizes include starring in the upcoming book 'We ♥ Cosplay', a 12 month subscription to NEO, a snazzy laptop and the privilege of being part of NEO history - the longest running magazine of its type in the UK.

The first of two tournaments is already underway; The NEO Cosplay Champions: Pre-Expo Tournament went live on 22 May. This three-day, pre-Expo championship (ending 24 May, the day before the London MCM Expo Comic Con), involves prior NEO Cosplay Idols from the October 2011 MCM Expo. Previous cosplay champions are placed in a face-off against one another, and the winner, chosen by the online voting public, will receive a 12 issue subscription to NEO Magazine. This will make way for the big one; the NEO Cosplay Idol Tournament: The Expo Face Off, where the 12 most popular cosplayers will be featured in 'We ♥ Cosplay', a 48-page book that will be given away free with the very special 100th issue of NEO Magazine.

To be in with a chance of winning, simply get your photo taken at the NEO Cosplay Idol stand during the London MCM Expo (25-27 May) - every photo taken will be automatically entered in the tournament, while prints can be purchased instantly at the event for £8.99.

All entrants will appear online in a face-off style battle similar to the Pre-Expo Tournament. The NEO nation will then have one week to vote for their favourite cosplayers. The most popular Cosplay Idol will also be awarded with a laptop and goody bag while 11 runners-up will received a goody bag - all 12 will feature in 'We ♥ Cosplay'.
