Naruto vs. Angel Beats in Neo Magazine

Neo magazine is heating up spring with a new issue crammed full of reviews, news and features.

It’s Naruto versus Angel Beats in the battle for the publication’s cover – who wins, you decide! NEO makes the decision process easier with its dual cover; one side has Namco Bandai’s Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations game, followed by a behind the scenes interview with CyberConnect2 president Hiroshi Matsuyama. The other showcases Angel Beats, the latest series from Manga Entertainment which goes under the investigative eyes of Matt Kamen as he exposes the anime’s weird world of Purgatory as well as the franchise’s theological roots – plus there’s our exclusive character guide!

Lifestyle content includes our man in Japan, Daniel Robson, discussing one of Japan’s most iconic volcanoes, Mount Fuji. Tom Smith interviews one of Japan’s biggest stadium rockers, L’Arc en Ciel, ahead of their first UK show this April. Plus cosplay (including the winner of the official Soulcalibur V UK cosplay competition, with verdicts from the judges!), fashion and our guide on how to draw manga.

There is also NEO’s exclusive breaking news piece on Manga’s latest acquisition; Blue Exorcist, and features on the latest anime releases, including: Aquarion EVOL, Bodacious Space Pirates and Mardock Scramble. And Asian film fanatics there’s an interview with Lee Myung-se (Duelist, Nowhere to Hide), and we speak with Teddy Chen, director of Bodyguards and Assassins, as he explains why it took ten years for the movie to make it from concept to production.

Plus extracts from Sengoku Basara: Samurai Legends by Yak Haibara, courtesy of Udon Entertainment and much more. NEO magazine 96 is out now at all good newsagents, WHSmith and branches of Tesco, for £4.25 – or digitally for £2.99.
