New Anime Convention in Sunderland	Thu, 13 Oct 2011
SunnyCon is an anime convention in Sunderland running March 24th - 25th at the Crowtree Leisure Centre. This is the first convention of its type in Sunderland and it offers a weekend packed with events like cosplay, videogame tournaments and traders selling Japanese and anime related goods as well as panels on Japanese culture and Japanese language tasters. There will also be special guest appearances from experts in cosplay, art and manga, and two internationally famous voice actors, Christopher Sabat (Dragon Ball Z, Fairy Tale, Fruits Basket) and Veronica Taylor (One Pice, Pokemon, Slayers and Bakuman). The convention will take place in Crowtree Leisure Centre and will run over the weekend from 10am to 6pm on Saturday, 10:30 am to 6pm on Sunday with an evening party on Saturday night. There is an age limit of 12+ for the daytime events and evening events have an age limit of 18+. Evening tickets must be purchased on the day of the event.
