| Manga Organising Free Screenings at Canary Wharf in August | Wed, 18 May 2011 |
|
While I'm sure Manga UK are busy with preparations to celebrate their 20th Anniversary, they also seem to be ensuring that the public can join in the fun by organising many fun events this year. In August, they are organising a potentially beautiful occasion of watching 3 of their biggest releases in recent years in Canada Square Park, Canary Wharf, all for free. The screenings will take place between Tuesday 2 August and Thursday 4 August, all scheduled to be shown at the same time of 6.30pm. Also they will all be shown in their original Japanese language, with English subtitles. First up is The Girl Who Leapt Through Time (12A) [98 min], by Mamoru Hosada on Tuesday 2nd August, at 6.30pm.
Next up is Professor Layton & The Eternal Diva (U) [94 min], by Masakazu Hashimoto on Wednesday 6 August, at 6.30pm.
Last but not least is Mamoru Hosada's most recent blockbuster, Summer Wars (12A) [114 min] on Thursday 6 August, at 6.30pm.
For now, there are no details regarding entry so the presumption thus far is that you simply show up and find a nice spot to sit and enjoy the movie[s] whilst basking in the sun*. *(Presence of sun during the duration of the film screenings are subject to change....) Source - ANN |
