| Production I.G. and Clamp Combine for Blood-C | Sat, 2 Apr 2011 |

For fans of the anime movie, Blood: The Last Vampire, good news emerged earlier this week when it was announced that a new spin-off series has been green-lit for production. Production I.G., the studio behind Blood: The Last Vampire, and the legendary artistic quartet CLAMP, have joined forces for a new strand of the Blood story entitled ‘Blood-C’. Images have already been released. CLAMP are handling the story and character designs whilst Production I.G. will handle the animation and Aniplex will be producing the series. This is not the first television spin-off from the original movie as it will join the rather excellent Blood+ but with CLAMP taking a major role in the production, one hopes it will breathe new life into the franchise. The television series is scheduled to start in July but will be preceded by a Manga series which starts on the 26th May. Thanks goes out to Raz for spotting the news! |
