Anime Director Satoshi Kon has Passed Away

Saroshi Kon the director of Perfect Blue (1998), Millennium Actress (2001), Tokyo Godfathers (2003), Paranoia Agent (2004), Paprika (2006) and the upcoming The Dream Machine (2011) has passed away.

Kyōko Kon, the widow of director Satoshi Kon, wrote a message about his passing on his official website on Wednesday:

    Satoshi Kon passed away due to pancreatic cancer on August 24 at 6:20 a.m. He was 46.

    His funeral service will be held for family members only.

    We are respectfully and deeply grateful for your kindness during his lifetime.
