The 49th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine has announced on Monday that Eichiro Oda's One Piece "episode 0" manga will be animated. In addition, the pirate manga prequel will be published in the 53rd issue of Weekly Shonen Jump in Japan. As previously announced, the first 1.5 million moviegoers at this December's One Piece Film Strong World screenings will receive a "0th volume" manga volume. This manga story will depict the world of One Piece 20 years ago — in particular, the Pirate King Gold Roger versus the legendary pirate "Gold Lion" Shiki.
The animated version of the "episode 0" manga will be released on 3,000 limited-edition DVDs that will be given away in collaboration with the House Foods brand. From ANN
