|
Following on from earlier reports of a Fullmetal Alchemist sequel being in the works, and despite those reports being denied directly by the Japanese animation studio Bones, AnimeNewsNetwork has reported via MoonPhase that the rumour was in fact true, with volume 20 of the Fullmetal Alchemist manga confirming that there will indeed be a new anime series is in the works. Giapet reports that the series may not be a direct sequel, but in fact a more close interpretation of the manga, though this is unconfirmed. The director for the new series is also unconfirmed. It remains to be seen whether or not the Darker Than Black sequel was just a rumour, or whether or not it will too have a sequel.
