| Crunchyroll acquire more anime for legal free streaming | Mon, 11 Aug 2008 |

Following on from their online (free) streaming of ADV's English dubbed version of Welcome to the NHK, video streaming website Crunchyroll has continued to acquire the legal rights to anime series by offering the free streaming (and DRM-free pay to download episodes) of several other series. This past weekend, they announced new deals with the likes of ADV, Gonzo and Media Blasters for the following anime series and movies. Angelic Layer, BASToF Syndrome, Best Student Council, Chance Pop Session, Girl's High, Kaleido Star, Kite: Liberator, Lady Death, Magical Play, Martian Successor Nadesico: The Motion Picture - Prince of Darkness, Nurse Witch Komugi, Parasite Dolls, Peace Maker Kurogane, Ramen Fighter Miki, Saiyuki and Sin: The Movie. Eventually, all of the above anime will be available on the Crunchyroll website for free streaming and, as is usually the case with all of their previous anime streams, these series will probably be open to UK anime fans too. |
