While the worldwide popularity of the Death Note franchise (with its live action, anime and manga incarnations) continues unabated, the artist/writer team that created its original story, writer Tsugumi Ohba and artist Takeshi Obata, have their next manga project debuting in this week's issue of Japan's popular manga anthology Shonen Jump. Called Bakuman and simply described as "explosive", fans of Death Note should be very interested in keeping an eye on this project.
