| Funimation get Shonen Jump's D.Gray-man, Shigurui | Fri, 23 May 2008 |
|
In addition to our previous news reports on Funimation's recent anime licenses, over the last weekend they also announced four further new acquisitions:
Of particular note is the gothic action anime D.Gray-man, another long-running story adapted from popular 'Shonen Jump' source material (following in the foot-steps of Bleach, Death Note and Naruto), and Shigurui: Death Frenzy, a notably violent, almost sadistic samurai series set within a harsh period of Japanese history. As is ever the case with Funimation's releases, we await news from their UK distributor Revelation Films as to whether or not any of these series might see DVD releases in the UK too.
