Eureka! Break through the heavens! With Naruto! Fri, 11 Apr 2008
  • Despite its 10 volume UK DVD release drawing to an end, the Eureka Seven franchise is far from dead. To this end, animation studio Bones (including many of the same creative staff who worked on the TV series) have recently announced that they are working on an all-new, theatrical movie based on the Eureka Seven "mythos". According to reports, it absolutely won't be a condensed version of the TV series, though it will again feature main characters Renton and Eureka.

  • The next theatrical movie in the Naruto: Shippuden (Shippuden is the sequel to the Naruto series currently being released in the UK) franchise will be called "Bonds" and intends to explore the fractured rivalry/friendship between main characters Uzumaki Naruto and Uchiha Sasuke. It's due out in Japan on August 2nd.

  • Gainax have revealed that the first movie for their new mecha favourite Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann will be a condensed version of the "first story arc" (known as the "Crimson Chapter") from the TV series. The film is set to hit Japanese theaters on September 6th.
