VIZ, Manga Ent. partnership to bring Buso Renkin, MAR to UK Mon, 7 Apr 2008

Active Anime have recently published a joint press release from VIZ Media and Manga Entertainment announcing an "exclusive DVD distribution deal in the UK and Ireland". Of course, with Manga Ent. having already released several of VIZ Media's most popular anime series in the UK, not least of all Naruto, Bleach and Death Note, such an announcement could been seen as a mere formality if not for the fact that it also mentions their intentions to release (on UK DVD) both MÄR and Buso Renkin.

Buso Renkin is a 26 episode shonen action anime. The manga series was created by Nobuhiro Watsuki and  serialised in Shonen Jump (home to the likes of Bleach and Naruto). Manga-ka Watsuki's most famous work is period samurai epic Rurouni Kenshin. MÄR is 102 episodes long and, much like Buso Renkin, is described as a shonen action fantasy.
