It's been announced that a TV anime adaptation of Blade of the Immortal, a popular supernatural samurai manga that's been running for many years, is currently underway in Japan and is set to air during the summer of 2008. The animation will be handled by Bee Train, a studio well known for their work on the .hack franchise, while the director will be Koichi (Noir, Madlax) Mashimo. The official website recently went live, where you can catch some initial glimpses of the anime character design.
