AnimeNewsNetwork are reporting that the Japanese animation company, "Xebec", who are a subsidary of "Production I.G." and who specialise in TV anime working on titles such as "Outlaw Star" and "Martian Successor Nadesico"; will animate the original animation series - "Mnemosyne - Mnemosyne no musume-tachi". The show, which is being advertised as a "hard-boiled science fiction action" series will be written by Hiroshi Ohnogi (Noein, Eureka Seven, Aquarion, Rahxephon) and directed by Shigeru Ueda (Elemental Gelade, Ghost Hunt, Honey and Clover 2). "Mnemosyne" follows the story of Rin, who is being hunted by the assasin Laura and their encounters with Devine creatures. At this point in time it is unknown when the series will begin a release and what form that release will take. A possible licensor cannot be speculated at either, as the series is a production from "Genco", whose other productions have been licensed by a variety of different English companies.
