Animax on the way to a world-wide rollout? Wed, 29 Aug 2007

WorldScreen reports that the world famous anime TV franchise "Animax" has continued its global roll-out by launching across African satellite TV; specifically, otaku in the likes of South Africa and Mozambique can now enjoy Japanese animation in the comfort of their homes.

It's hoped that Animax will eventually reach the UK too, especially since the European rollout started in April with debuts in Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic and Slovakia, soon followed in June by Germany. Eventual releases in the UK, Italy, Spain, France and Poland are said to be at "an advanced stage" of discussion.
