| ADV Films score US distribution deal with Geneon | Wed, 29 Aug 2007 |
|
According to ICv2, ADV Films (US) will soon control (starting on October 1st) the sales, marketing and distribution of Geneon Entertainment's (US) anime releases. Despite axing these departments (and cutting dozens of jobs in the process), Geneon will still license and produce anime is the US, essentially acting a "label" rather than a fully fledged anime distributor. A recently added press release sheds more light on the deal, and how it will affect consumers and retailers. |
