A new Gundam series on the way: Mobile Suit Gundam 00	Mon, 4 Jun 2007
It was recently announced that another Mobile Suit Gundam TV series is on the way; "Mobile Suit Gundam 00" (pronounced "double o") is due to start airing on Japanese TV in October 2007. For Gundam fanatics, there are a few points of interest worth mentioning: The story is said to be based in the year 2307 AD; so in other words, this is the first Gundam series to take place in our own time line. The original Mobile Suit Gundam TV series was based in the "Universal Century" (a.k.a. UC), while Mobile Suit Gundam Seed was based in the "Cosmic Era". Creative staff rumored to be crafting the series include character designer Yun Kouga, famous for her shōnen-ai fantasy manga Loveless, and Full Metal Alchemist director Seiji Mizushima. Given these people could be involved and based on the extremely effeminate male character designs (captured from the 15-second preview), it is expected that Mobile Suit Gundam 00 will be precisely aimed at attracting a more female audience (much like Gundam Wing).
