Nyarko-san is Back!

Postby Genkina Hito » 26 Feb 2013, 21:08

Something in the sunken city of R'lyeh must be stirring as the official channel for Haiyore! Nyaruko-san W (Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos) is streaming a promotional video for the new series which will premiere in April.

The chance for Japanese fans to see HP Lovecraft’s mythos get an anime spin happens on TV Tokyo on April 7.

Bleh, if it wasn't for Sword Art Online then Nyarako would have been my least favourite series from 2012 for killing my sense of humour.

Nyaruko is probably one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. The sheer volume of references to other shows is staggering, and it’s nice to see any anime not take itself (or it’s “plot”... or anything) too seriously. Not a great leap forward for anime but certainly a highlight. Plus Kana Asumi has the best voice ever.

America had its chance to make a decent Cthulhu film and this is the result?

Let Japan handle this chaps.
