A new trailer for the 3D CGI film Resident Evil: Damnation has been released and it features Leon S. Kennedy battling Lickers.

This is the sequel to Resident Evil: Degeneration. In this story Leon S. Kennedy makes a return and finds himself in a war torn European country. Makoto Kamiya who directed Resident Evil: Degeneration and has handled the special effects on Gantz, acted in Tokyo Gore Police and was Assistant Director on Mamoru Oshii’s Avalon is directing this. Capcom producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi (Sengoku Basara, Resident Evil, Killer7) is producing this project while Takahashi Tetsuya (Appleseed, Halo Legends) is composing the music.

The theatrical release date of the movie is the 27th of October.

I'm looking forward to picking it up at the end of September (I think that's the DVD release here in the UK, I'm sure I saw it on Amazon, I just can't be bothered to check.)

The CGI films are more like it for me, I guess them being set in the game's universe helps, rather than all the characters I loved in the early games being secondary to a new super-powered woman. *out-of-date-grumble-grumble*
