Uploading takes a while too.

I was actually quite impressed that imageshack lets you upload multiple pics at the same time now, Flickr-style.

Photobucket is my poison of choice. I dislike that Flickr is integrated into Yahoo so much.

I prefer Dropbox, you just dump your files (images,sounds or text files) into the dropbox folder on your desktop and it's automatically uploaded to the internet, so all you have to do is copy the 'public link' if you want to post it places.

I like the sound of this idea, please tell me more about this "internet" of which you speak so highly.
