Hey!

I'm Liam (people on forums tend to end up calling me Leo for some reason...) and I currently live and work in London.

I've been lurking the boards for some time (particularly threads on sales and new releases) but thought I'd come join in as I have very few friends who like anime (and probably none that actually ever buy any).

I tend to go through phases of being super-into-anime and then dropping off a bit as I get obsessed with other things (rock music? girls? coffee? video games?) but I generally try to watch at least one series a month.

I'm currently juggling about 9...

Ayway I look forward to discussing anime with you all :)

I'm not particularly into manga/graphic novels, though there are some exceptions (mainly one shots rather than series).

I tend to watch most types of anime, though as a rule not really the shounen/sports/mecha type series (although again there are exceptions). I definitely prefer plot to action (though I also don't mind sacrificing plot for style sometimes too), and it really annoys me that so many animes have such terrible endings (or worse, don't end at all).

I posted some favourites over in another thread, but some shows I've recently watched and enjoyed include:
The Tatami Galaxy
Kanon 2006 (much better than the 2002 version IMO)
Welcome to the NHK

Thanks for the welcomes :)

I feel your pain brother. Though due to the fact I watch so little anime these days, I usually have an abundance of good stuff to watch when I do get the chance to watch. In fact, if I keep going like this I may not have to watch another poor anime ever again, always just scooping the cream of the crop. That is my goal.

Oh, and welcome :thumb:

Welcome to the forum, Sir. It is always nice to see people following the old tradition of lurking before posting, I expect you to fit in very well.
