Gyo Anime Trailer

Manga-ka Junjo Ito (Tomie, Spiral) is no stranger to having his weird fiction work adapted what with the numerous Tomie and Uzumaki live-action films and now Ito’s manga Gyo is the latest to get an adaptation. In preparation for the anime’s premiere a four minute trailer was released. Wor of warning – contains so many spoilers.

Directed by Takayuki Hirao (Kara no Kyoukai: Garden of Sinners) and produced by anime studio Ufotable (Kara no Kyoukai, Coyote Ragtime Show) the story conerns a young couple visiting Okinawa and its beautiful beaches when they find themselves caught in the middle of a land invasion by dead fish.

The anime gets a release on the 15th of February.
