Bakuman anime coming to the UK

The anime adaptation of Bakuman, the manga series about two aspiring manga artists, has been picked up by Viz Media Europe.

The series, the creation of Death Note‘s Takeshi Obata and Tsugumi Ohba, has so far broadcast two series in Japan with a third currently being planned. The anime is directed by Kenichi Kasai (Honey and Clover) and Noriaki Akitaya (Code Geass) The manga is already published by Viz under the Shonen Jump label.

The distributor physically (DVDs and Blu-Ray) of the series in the UK will be by Kaze UK, but so far there is no detail on of what the release date will be or how many volumes will be released. The anime is currently distributed in the USA under the Media Blasters label.
